Although this place may be more famous for its Dukkah Eggs (see https://thegrazingpanda.wordpress.com/2014/09/05/scarvelli-cafe-homely-balwyn-local/), I ended up ordering this burger which turned out to be good. The standout in this burger was the patty which was tasty and very nicely cooked – it was not red or rare inside yet was very juicy (probably helped that it was wagyu) and was well cooked yet not burnt on the outside. I didn’t really care for the brioche bun but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t bother me with its sweetness.
The chips were also a nice compliment to the burger – nicely crisped and accompanied by a tasty aoli sauce.
All in all a nice burger and chips combo 🙂
